Job Summary:

 

Under the direction of the Manager, Project Services, the project manager will be responsible for project resources and implementation by developing and managing technology projects and their associated cost, time, scope, and milestones.  In addition, you will also play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction while helping schedule, organize and motivate members of the Project Team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Build and maintain the client relationship.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Work clients through the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Initiate the project by using the statement of work and bill of materials.
  • Assign resources to the project.
  • Develop and guide the team through the kickoff process.
  • Manage and control the project execution phase.
  • Work with the team to develop deployment plans and communication plans.
  • Managed the success of the deployment into production.
  • Manage issues and risks.  Create mitigation plans.
  • Provide status reports and manage client expectations.
  • Lead teams and meetings to action project tasks and deliverables
  • Update job knowledge by participating in ongoing educational and training opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree
  • Three or more years project management experience in information technology or business-related field.
  • Project management qualification (PMP) preferred but not required
  • ITIL or ITSM certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated theoretical and practical project management knowledge is required.
  • Business & IT strategic planning, risk management and/or change management experience.
  • Proficiency in various project management software tools.
  • Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions & Physical Effort 

Mostly office working conditions. Must be able to stand 10%, walk 20%, and sit 70% or more of an 8-hour workday. Lift 10 lbs. Must have the ability to work at a computer, perform bending, use arms for reaching, use finger and hand dexterity, speak on a telephone, and converse with others.
